Council Meeting Highlights

September 2010

• Approved request of the Meisel family to remain associate members of Zion while accepting their transfer of membership to Messiah Lutheran, Elliottsburg.

•  Agreed to host a Ministerium Lenten luncheon at Zion in lieu of having all the luncheons at a restaurant or one church.

•   Approved working events at the Farm Show to raise funds for the church's general fund.

• Audit of all accounts for 2009 has been completed.  Approved sending thank you letters to members of the Audit Committee.

• 2011 committee budget requests due to the Finance Committee by October 15.

• Approved date of December 5 for the Annual Congregational Meeting.

•  Approved fixing glass pane in church door off parking lot.

• Agreed by consensus to continue sponsoring Café Zion on the third Friday of each month from 7:00-9:00 pm.

• Agreed to move the date of the next Council Meeting to October 11
