Council Meeting Highlights

 

August 2005

 

* Approved including in the 2006 budget funding members to participate in the CTIM leadership training.

 

* Approved a $200.00 contribution to Gettysburg Seminary for 2006.

 

* Approved the scout's usage of the social hall for their spaghetti dinner on September 10.

 

* Appointed Lori Plumley as the congregation's contact person for the World Hunger Appeal.

 

* Approved the American Guild of Organists local chapter's request to use the church for a recital on Sunday, November 13.

 

* Approved the removal of 14 members from active membership roster due to inactivity.

 

* Council is encouraging members to access Zion's website for up-to-date information about church activities. Check out the Trumba calendar for church events.

 

*  Supported the Cemetery Committee's plan to allow the Camp Hill inmates to apply a fresh mulch ground cover to the church grounds.

 

* Agreed that the next step in the congregation's long range planning for vision and mission will be the distribution of a survey to members to determine strengths, weaknesses and perceived threats to the success of our congregation.

 

* Continue to work on a facility use policy.
