Council Meeting Highlights

July 2005

* Zion Luther Church, Enola was ranked #1 in giving in the West Shore Conference for size of membership for 2004

* Voted to again participate as a field education site for Gettysburg Seminary for 2005-6.

* Approved the purchase of two highway markers to be placed in the Enola area.

* Approved putting the prepaid oil fund back in the 2005 budget.

* Approved buying 200 rubber candle holders for $150.00 from memorial funds.

* Approved the Property Committee's donation of $200 ($100 each) to Citizen Fire Company and Midway Fire Company, for help in removing the helium balloons and strings that became entangled around the ceiling fans in the sanctuary.

* Approved the Finance Committee request to get a current appraisal of church property and contents to evaluate for adequate insurance coverage.
