Council Meeting Highlights

June 2004

* Approved the job description for the Director of Music.

* Reviewed a draft of the job description for Church Secretary. Some additions will be made by the task force (see below.)

* Approved additions to the job description for the Sexton.

* Agreed to appoint a task force to formulate contracts for the Sexton, Church Secretary, Director of Music and Cemetery House Caretaker. This task force will also design an annual job evaluation format for these positions.

* Approved the placement in the chapel of a memorial planter in honor of Joan Plantz. Joan's high school classmates, Joann Boltozer, Gail Deimler, Marie Locke and Robert Shuler will maintain this planter.

* Discussion was held on our involvement with the Lukasi Lutheran Church in Tanzania. We do not currently have an active committee associated with our sister congregation. If you are interested in forming or participating on such a committee, please advise Pastor Gwenn or a council member. Such a committee would be responsible for regular correspondence, and/or to arrange for gifts to be sent at certain times of the year.
