Council Meeting Highlights

 

February 2007

 

 

·        Accepted Finance committee's recommendation that any amount greater than $500 in the capital campaign fund would be an additional payment to the Air condition loan.

·        Doug Fry, Deb Loope, Alvin Bock III and Rich Zerbe were selected to man a task force to clarify church funds and fund accounting procedures

·        Approved recommendation from Stewardship committee for a noisy offering which will go to a variety of organizations and ministries

·        Agreed to have UGI check the gas side of the church furnace

·        Approved Worship and Music recommendation for the elimination of the Sunrise service this Easter

·        Approved the request from Youth Ministry for ZLYG to hold a Spring Wolfgang candy sale.

·        March 11, 2007 will be Scout Sunday

·        Congregational Meeting set for April 29 to approve the changes to our Constitution. Copies of congregational policies (wedding, funeral, facilites) will be made available for members to pick up rather than mailing them.

·        Jacqueline Brock and Jim Hetrick selected as voting members for 2007 Synod Assembly.

·        Approved Facility Use Request by Kelly Freed for a baby shower on March 10.

·        Agreed to allow Theresa Brennan to bring in a series of religious art pieces for display, but we will not advertise the sale of the pieces.

·        Virgina Arter agreed to chair and find volunteers for an accessibility task force, which will make recommendations on a chair lift or elevator and overall accessibility within the church building.

·        Summer camping registrations are due April 1 to receive the early bird discout.

·        Approved memorial contribution in memory of Tom Notestine’s father.
