Council Meeting Highlights

February 13, 2006

• Approved additions to the following budgets with funds which would be moved from the budgeted treasurer expense savings of $1500
  • $350 to fellowship committee for planned activities
  • $300 to Office supplies/equipment for the expanded bulletin format
  • $600 for supply musicians
• Approved Worship and Music recommended changes to the wedding policy rates
• Approved fund raising activities for the youth – Sub sale and Wolfgang candy sale
• Approved half of the Lenten offerings be given to the Grace Lutheran church in New Orleans
• Requested the Mutual ministry committee meet with Jackqueline Brock on the discernment of her call to public ministry
• Jackqueline Brock and Dan Loope were selected as voting members for the Synod Assembly
• Watched 6 minute thank you presentation remission support from the Synod
• Reviewed letter of endowment from Ethel Klines estate for the cemetery
• Cub Scouts Blue and Gold banquet dates were approved.
• Approved the recommendation that the Sunday worship bulletin be composed as it was last year instead of the shortened format.
• Approved the April council meeting be moved to April 17th
