Council Meeting Highlights

January 2008

• Established committee liaisons
• Approved Addition of Samuel Putts request for sponsorship to attend People to People Student Ambassador program to Australia in the Sunday Bulletin.
• Approved the motion that all financial statements should be sent to the church address and not a member’s home.
• Will work the sportsman’s show for youth ministry on February 2nd
• Approved recommendation from long range planning that to have a  “ministry spotlight” during worship to promote feedback
• Approved recommendation from long range planning to proceed in planning a community meeting (target date April 2008) and invite other churches to participate
• Sent the Envelope fund policy, which was presented by the Fund task force to council,  to the finance committee for their review.
• Earmarked $6,000 from building fund for priority one projects
